  1. Raul says:

I am struggling to understand why most of the Willow Creek/Saddleback multi-site, style/type of churches are infatuated with: Vision, Purpose, Leadership?

Why less and less theology, doctrine, and expository preaching is being done at these type of churches?

Why is it that after being an active member of one of this churches, I find myself searching other places to be fed the unadulterated word of God? (John MacArthur, Paul Washer, Bod DeWay).

Have we lost sight of what the Church really is suppose to be? I am not confused, but I am troubled by what I am started to see. I don’t know how this started, buy there are many things I was not aware of that now, compared to Scripture, I see many, many flaws in our current churches.

JesusChrist, Please Help Us!!!! I don’t want to find myself deceived like you, and the Apostles warned us!

Anybody else feels this way? I am being so honest, sometimes I ask my wife “Is it just me who sees these things?”…..

    Thanks

  2. The short answer is these churches are only interested in drawing in huge numbers. To do this, they must water the gospel down to a point to where it is none offensive. They rely upon entertainment to draw people in and keep them interested.

I too was very active in a seeker-friendly church. What you are experiencing is conviction from the Holy Spirit. My advice to you is to find a church where you are being feed with sound doctrine, deep preaching, and find a true pastor.

The hirelings in these mega self-help centers care nothing about the sheep. All they are looking at in numbers and tithes. This is the blunt truth my friend.

May the Lord lead you to a place to where you are being feed.
