UK and American news sites have been reporting on the latest lurid conduct by “Hannah Montana”, aka Miley Cyrus, a role model to millions of little girls around the world. Miley is reportedly tired of her “good girl image” and is now working feverishly to undo her reputation. The photos of her performance this weekend at a club for homosexuals in London are so raunchy that I cannot link to them on this site.

One commenter on the article remarked that she was shocked that Miley was behaving this way in that she was supposedly a “Bible-Christian.” Welcome to the freakish world of modern evangelicalism where faking lesbian kisses while dancing scantily clad onstage at a club for sodomites is the behavior of young “Christian” girls…(source)

This is a prime reason that I do not allow my children to follow pop culture icons and become influenced by popular children’s television. Some have called me old fashioned, extremist, etc. but as a parent it’s important that we are the influence and not a pop star or a television sitcom.

    I was glad when my 8 yr old boy told me that he thinks Hannah Montana “isn’t smart or interesting.”

    I was going to say its sad what the trappings of fame and fortune have done but in hind sight Im happy to see exactly what her moral fabric is at the core.Godliness with contentment is indeed great gain.
