This is a good discussion and teaching about Christians who lose their faith.

Good word, Tim. I just taught a series in our church about levels of faith. I’ve come to the conclusion that there is saving faith that cannot be lost, but there is also borrowed faith, which looks just like immature, but growing, faith. This borrowed faith can be lost since it was never yours to begin with. Saving faith comes from EXPERIENCING God yourself, When you pretend to live for God on the strength of the experiences of others you do not have saving faith. 2 Cor. 13:5 says that we need to examine ourselves to make sure that we are able to pass the test of faith. If there is a test and we need to make sure we pass, then obviously some will fail the same test. The test of faith is described in 1 Peter 1:3-9 and James 1:2-4.
