False Teachers and Their Destruction

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

God wants us to press into His presence this year and find the deliverance He has for you in every area of your life.(source)

If 2011 is the year of deliverance, then hopefully it will be the year we see people delivered from these “snake oil” sellers over at XPmedia! In this video: Deliverance In 2011 we have the same old generic prophetic word “A” “B” and “C” as if it is something new this year. As always the subject of finances rears it’s ugly head…

Randy DeMain shares about how the wicked giants of Noah’s day, the Nephilim, are once again walking the earth.

This video: Nephilim Agenda Part 1 is a classic example of Scripture twisting and weird teachings coming from the modern day “signs and wonders” movement.

This is another example of Patricia King’s terrible misunderstanding of the Scriptures. By not rightly dividing the Word of God, it opens the door to many errors and false beliefs (2 Timothy 2:15). This is why we must study the Bible in context so that we can avoid gross errors like what is currently being taught by the “signs and wonders” movement (1 Timothy 4:1-2).

We do have direct access to Heaven through Jesus Christ the Lord (Hebrews 4:14-15). We can go directly to Him through prayer (1 John 2:1). This whole notion of us ascending into Heaven as taught by people like Patricia King is wrong.

As always, the marketing scheme rears its ugly head when we deal with false prophets/teachers. Why do we need to buy their products in order to gain understanding? The short answer is people who peddle these signs and miracles and new revelations really do not want their followers studying the Bible without their influence. To achieve this type of control over their followers, they employ all kinds of false signs and shenanigans (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12).

My advice for anyone involved in this movement is this: study the Bible without any study guides, daily reading plans, marginal notes, or commentaries. Solely depend upon the Holy Spirit to guide you as you study and meditate upon God’s Word. Seek the Lord through prayer and the deep studying of His Word.

1 Corinthians 14:33 (King James Version)

33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

I’ve said this many times in the past, please pray for these people who are deceived by the “signs and wonders” craze. I have personally witnessed its destructive power at work through some of my family members. It is heart breaking to watch loved ones send money to these false teachers, hoping to receive some sort of special anointing and healing.

Let us pray that God brings these false teachers to true repentance and ask God to deliver those who are deceived.

Jeremy Lopez’s Identity Network is another gathering place for false prophets/teachers to peddle the “signs and wonders” craze. These people are all about casting their visions and prophetic word as they seek to entice as many people as possible into follow their ministries. It only makes sense that they work together to promote each other’s ministries, books, etc. This is another example of how “signs and wonders” leaders use every means available to increase their influence within this movement.

Pretty good marketing infomercial here!

The prophecy:

I love how false prophet Jeremy Lopez just goes into “prophecy” mode as requested!

Endorsements from other false teachers/prophets

I love Jeremy Lopez’s passion to see the Body of Christ encouraged. He carries a dynamic word, is extremely accurate in his prophetic ministry and is a true refreshment to those whose lives he touches.Patricia King (source)

Identity Network is doing a great job of creating a hunger and thirst for the supernatural move of the Holy Spirit. IHOP and the use of prophecy

In this book,The Power of the Prophetic Spirit, Jeremy Lopez bring to the readers his revelatory insight of the prophet’s ministry. Written with honesty and simplicity to help everyone to receive from this most needed ministry today. As the desire to know more about Prophets and their flow in the spirit – this book will be one of the great helps.” Roberts Liardon (source)

The one thing lacking within this movement is the clear Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel message is muddied by prophetic words, prophetic visions, signs, wonders, miracles, and the idea that God depends on these prophetic signs and wonders in order to get people’s attention. One steady theme seen within all these leaders’ ministries is their relentless marketing to promote themselves and to sell books, mp3’s, DVD’s etc.

Jeremiah 29:8-9 (New American Standard Bible)

8 “For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, ‘Do not let your prophets who are in your midst and your diviners deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams which they dream.

9 ‘For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them,’ declares the LORD.

Patricia King: Power of Salvation

Todd Bentley: Confronting The Spirit Of Leviathan

All information used is covered under the Fair Use section of US copyright law.

Patricia King’s version of salvation is false, built upon works rather than God’s grace. This false gospel of health, wealth, and signs/wonders is not the gospel outlined in the Word of God. The power of salvation is from God alone. It is by the preaching of the gospel and the drawing of the Holy Spirit that we are saved. Without the Holy Spirit drawing us to repentance, we are unable to even understand that we are in need of God (The blunt truth about the gospel and the false god of purpose). The power of God’s saving Grace can deliver Patricia King from the false visions and seducing spirits that are holding her in bondage (2 Corinthians 5:16-18).

Why do I believe that Patricia King is in need of salvation? This is based upon her beliefs, her fruits, and her acceptance of strange doctrines. I do not know her heart (only the Lord knows that information), but I am able to observe her deeds and study her beliefs/teachings. When I say that people like Patricia King need to be saved, I make this statement with a humble broken heart because I would love to see the power of the Lord truly manifested in her ministry.

Matthew 7:15-20 (King James Version)

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

I have many family members and friends who are caught up in this movement. I pray that God saves my family, friends, and the leaders of this movement. I do not feel that I’m stepping over the line with this post. I truly desire to see people like Patricia King experience the true power of God’s amazing grace. Until that day, I urge everyone of my readers to join me and pray for these people, humbly asking the Lord to save them.

Matthew 7:22-23 (King James Version)

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

God meant what He said and said what He meant.

Only the Holy Spirit can convict mankind to salvation by the preaching of the Gospel

The Gospel is enough

International House of Prayer

IHOP portrays itself as Christ-centered and as a testimony to the power of God working in lives.

On May 7, 1999, the International House of Prayer Missions Base (IHOP–KC) was founded by Mike Bickle and twenty full-time “intercessory missionaries” who cried out to God in prayer with worship for thirteen hours each day. Four months later, on September 19, 1999, our prayer and worship expanded to the full 24/7 schedule. IHOP–KC is an evangelical missions organization that is committed to praying for the release of the fullness of God’s power and purpose as we actively win the lost, heal the sick, feed the poor, make disciples, and impact the seven spheres of society (family, education, government, economy, arts, media, and religion). Our vision is to work in relationship with the larger Body of Christ to serve the Great Commission, as we seek to walk out the two great commandments to love God and people.(source)

The truth is IHOP is just another man-centered movement based upon a system of false teachings which have been peddled for decades.

The Use of Prophecy

We Affirm that the Bible is the inerrant and sole objective source of direction and wisdom for the life of a believer. We believe in the operation of the prophetic ministry as a source of edification, exhortation, and comfort from the Lord (1 Cor. 14:3). We believe that the subjectivity of the prophetic ministry must be vigorously tested against the inspired and infallible Scriptures that God gave for doctrine, reproof, correction, and for instruction in righteousness (2 Tim. 3:16).

We Deny that subjective prophetic experiences are equal to the inspired Word of God. In other words, all personal prophecy must uphold and honor the Scripture.

Explanation: Simple prophecy is limited to edification, exhortation, and comfort (1 Cor. 14:3). It is to enrich our spiritual life, rather than give direction in the domestic areas of our life. Edification speaks of spiritually building or edifying someone’s spirit by confirming their destiny or God’s purpose for their life. The most common way to edify through simple prophecy is to give a Scripture that has been previously important to them. Exhortation includes calling people to persevere and not give up on their promises to God in hard times, and not give in to sin. Comfort speaks of making known God’s perspective in a great disappointment or setback in a person’s life by giving God’s perspective in telling them that God has a plan in their time of pressure.

We urge people to avoid giving others prophetic direction in the domestic areas of their life. This includes issues related to spousal designation, bearing children, changing jobs, moving, buying or selling (i.e. house), or leaving one church for another, etc. We may give godly counsel to one another in domestic areas without presenting it as a prophecy. Personal prophecies should be given with others as witnesses (we request that prophecies be recorded when possible). Some people have an over-reliance on dreams for direction in their domestic lives. God never intended to direct people mostly by dreams. Yes, God does use dreams to give some direction; however, dreams are not to be a substitute for gaining wisdom from Scripture. Some people rely on dreams for decisions because it absolves them from responsibility and lacking wisdom if the decision turns out to be wrong (Eccl. 5:3, 7).(source)

It’s evident when you research IHOP and it’s leaders that they do not obey their own statement of faith and beliefs.

False prophetess Julie Meyer’s piano prophecy!

1 Timothy 4:1-8 (NIV)
1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.
4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
6 If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.
7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.
8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
